A question for you women; what was it really like for you being in the Org?
by Tallon inhi there folks.. i took a bit of time out from the forum, however i'm back again.. what was it really like for you, your experiences good or bad, etc, in the org?.
if you were granted a listening ear by the gb, what changes would you like to see implemented?.

I was a handful. The elders were glad when I was finally out of their hair. They tried multiple times to “adjust my thinking” but they always ended up getting nasty with me when it didn’t work. I pretty much told them when they start writing the checks they might have a say in how I lived my life.
When the COs would come around I agreed to sit down with them a few times. We would argue about different subjects like the flood, abortion, blood transfusions and CSA. Specifically the 2 witness rule.
Always, some stupid comment would be made about my medical degree clouding my mind and blocking the Holy Spirit.
Really all it amounted to is every single one of them was a tool.
If the GB would hear me, I would ask them to include women on any CSA investigation or any assault allegation on a woman.
But we know their answer already from the ARC hearings.

Rick Fearon - Six Screens of the Watchtower
by dubstepped inso a friend today asked me what his deal is and i honestly don't know.
i saw someone post about his accusations that the doj is investigating watchtower and people seemed down on the guy, as well has johnny the bethelite or whatever his name is that claims to leak stuff.
i don't know rick fearon, don't watch his show, but his site just seems a little crazy, and he seems to get into occult conspiracies and the jws, which never lends credibility.. so for those of you who have been around a while, what's the deal?

Cognitive dissonance.

Using congregation funds to pay for medical costs
by the girl next door indid it ever happen in your congregation?.
it did in one of mine a decade ago.
not only were funds on hand in the congregation account used but repeated announcements were made to contribute towards the medical treatments for an elder’s wife who was battling breast cancer.

Looking back at the time, I just went along with it. I felt bad for the “sweet sister” dying. I had no idea the politics going on behind the scenes until a year later when 5 elders moved out. 3 of them left the org all together. Even then I didn’t put it together that them leaving had anything to do with the accounts until I ran into one of them years later and he told me about it.
I wonder, how much cagey stuff goes on in the “elders club” that us idiots had/have no clue about. Also, when it is exposed, shouldn’t that entire congregation be shuffled and another BoEs installed?

Isn’t it true at various times that the WT discouraged meeting together just to read the Bible? They asserted you had to use the “helpers” to understand correctly. If you only used the Bible you would be opened up to misunderstandings and apostasy?
It seems like I recall something in CoC about this.

Did it ever happen in your congregation?
It did in one of mine a decade ago. Not only were funds on hand in the congregation account used but repeated announcements were made to contribute towards the medical treatments for an elder’s wife who was battling breast cancer.
It created a divide not only in the rank and file but also among the elder body. It was a stepping off point for several families.
The argument made was, why should one person benefit from congregation funds for an emergency when nobody else can or has?
It was a good one. Many families were struggling severely and some with health issues. They did not receive the same favor or outreach.
Was this bending the accounting rules? Or were they more relaxed then? Anybody else ever see something similar happen with congregation funds?

Personally I miss JWStruggle. I hope he is doing well.
There seems to be a consensus on Six Screens but I just wonder.
Sure a lot of would be JW defectors may be scared straight after a journey down the rabbit hole, but I wonder. Did that rainbow of a website and the “sensationalism” lead some out the door? Even if one JW saw the madness and felt a kindered spirit in Johnny the PsuedoBethelite, wouldn’t that be worth it?
Na. I think it is still an in out equation. Scare 100 off to gain one? Sometimes silence is golden.
ps: if you haven’t seen JWStruggles aposatacy trials where he records his judicial committee hearings, DO IT. (;
